Fahn Momo Taweh is the Director for the Division of Public Health Diagnosis and Laboratory (National Public Health Reference Laboratory), National Public Health Institute of Liberia.

Mr. Taweh brings to the National Public Health Reference Laboratory (NPHRL) a record of exceptional leadership and strategic vision for Accreditation of the National Public Health Reference Laboratory, and providing public health diagnosis services nationwide. Currently, he chairs the CoVID-19 Incident Management System Laboratory Pillar – the provider of CoVID-19

Lab diagnosis services. He also, served as the Laboratory One Health Technical Working Group Chairperson.

His prior positions include; Deputy Director, and Quality Officer of the National Public Health Reference Laboratory, a public health diagnosis and operational research unit of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).

Prior to Mr. Taweh work at NPHRL/ NPHIL, he served in various positions, including Ebola Virus Disease Laboratory Lead at the National Reference Laboratory, Ministry of Health- Liberia and with Nongovernmental organizations

Mr. Taweh earned his Associate and Bachelor’s degrees in Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Master’s degree in Public Health.

His scientific contributions- ResearchGate, has 11 research works 603 citations and 1451 reads, including Lassa virus circulating in Liberia: a retrospective genomic characterization.

His role on the PANGenS project is Co-Lead for the Liberian team.
